I am hopeless with night pictures! I need to click a million to get one decent one.
This sounds like just the right challenge for someone with my handicap
So here is my entry for unfocused: The Catedral Notre Dame from the river Siene at night.
Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend!
Do check out my second entry.
And some other great entries here

unfocused but fantastic
Thank you! Good I didn’t delete it
ooo yeah
I love it! Great entry Madhu!
Thank you so much Sonel! Have a great weekend
I love how ominous the sky looks and the blur gives me a strong feeling like I’m running away from something scary.
Amazing how a bit of blur gives it a whole different feel! Shall post some nicer pics from the river soon!
Really beautiful entry to this week’s challenge. Great post.
Thanks Arindam! Have a great weekend!
Oh I love it and never got to see it at night!
Next time don’t miss the night cruise. It was a wonderful way to see the city at night. Boats leave every half hour from near the Eiffel tower and from the Pont Nuef as well.
Hope I get to go back!
I’m the same with night photos! where do you find these weekly challenges?
Apparently it isn’t us, its our cameras, if you, like me, use a lowly digital! Thank God for that! The weekly challenge is announced here – http://dailypost.wordpress.com/ – every friday

Hi,
Even though it is a bit unfocused you can still see just how majestic the Cathedral is.
I think so too! Thank you Mags

Hi Madhu, there is a very surrealistic feeling about this picture. Angles, sky, strange light–it all goes together to make a fascinating piece tart hat can be studied, almost more like a painting than a photo. Really wild!
Thank you Naomi! I loved the angle and light too and that was the reason it didn’t get trashed like I would other unfocused images
@Madhu, this is very spectacular technique photograph, fantastic. Enjoy the weekend
I shall not argue with that
Thank you so much for letting me know!
Great shot!
Thanks Britten!
Good job! Isn’t it remarkable how we are applauding all our nasty unfocused shots? Ironic and funny!
Yes, the ones we forgot to delete
Right!
Okay, maybe not our nasty shots but our unfocused ones. I love your contribution.
Now you are being kind
It looks like something from a creepy film – just add the right music!
I think it is the sky that gives it that effect
Nice to meet you Jude! Hope to see you around.

Very moody shot full of atmosphere.
Thanks Kat
Glad i didn’t discard it after all!
Taking night photos is something I must still try.
You should! And I intend to master it as well
I find taking night pictures to be the hardest thing ever, especially of a novice photographer like myself! Yet for these challenges, we get some good ones, don’t we!
Don’t know about the good, but apt certainly! Still not convinced about the merit of unfocused images
A different angle and perspective. Very nice.
Thank you Fergiemoto! If you are not just being nice, I am very flattered
Naa, it’s a wonderful shot. The stones of the cathedral are glowing and alive. I really enjoyed it. Glad you didn’t delete it.
I do appreciate your kind support
I now regret not using some of the better images.
Well, there’re dozens of Paris/Notre Damme stories – it’s never too late:)
You are using a tripod for your night photos aren’t you?
Er….Jeff, you might be scandalized, but no!
Shame on you!
Check out the Gorillapod. There are several different versions, depending on what type camera you have. Not too pricey either, it may be just the thing.

Will do, thanks a lot Jeff!
Any time!

lovely madhu, suits the night and the subject
Thank you so much
Thanks Paula!
It does look amazing and stunning though it is unfocused.
Thank you! I appreciate the visit and comment!
Stunning night effect. It added mystery and richness to the already beautiful subject. Great job!
So glad you think so
Hya Madhu – - seeing as there hasn’t been an official weekly photo challenge this week, I’m stepping up and throwing down a challenge for anyone who’s interested. http://wheresmybackpack.wordpress.com/2012/05/12/reflections/
I’d love you to join in – the more the merrier. Pass it on. xxx Ailsa
