Here are two more unfocused images from Paris! Now you know how much I struggle with clicking pictures at night! Desperately need tutorials
In the meantime here is a view of the Eiffel Tower lit blue to mark its six month presidency of the EU in 2008! The front has a giant circle of stars (not visible here) signifying one for each member of the EU. Eighty giant projectors on the ground and 100 more on the tower were used to achieve the blue effect!
This is an image of the Eiffel Tower with its twinkling effect, viewed from the Seine, through the Pont Alexander III. The lights on the tower twinkle for 10 minutes every hour on the hour from nightfall to 2 a.m! Shall post more focused pics sometime soon.
Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend!
While you are here do check out my previous entry.
And look at some great entries here

still bloody awesome
You are too kind! But don’t stop
Awesome
DarkJade-
Thanks Dark Jade
I going to repeat the same word. Simply Awesome..
The first one is a great capture.
Thanks Arindam!
The dazzling blue light is actually quite attractive, giving Paris a more romantic feel!
It is awesome to look at when it suddenly starts twinkling! Thank you for dropping by Janet! Hope to see you around
Le macchine digitali hanno una difficoltà maggiore nella realizzazione di foto notturne.
Figured as much! And nice to know its not me, but my camera
I am looking to upgrade, but can’t seem to decide on a light, entry level one. Any suggestions? Appreciate the visit and comment Popof! Grazie mille!
Al momento per le notturne uso una sendibilità ISO 1600 e se sto fermo qualche risultato soddisfacente lo ottengo.
Like the first one a lot, Madhu!
Thank you! Means a lot coming from you

That first one is a pretty unfocused shot Madhu. Who would have ever thought it would be good for a photo challenge, LOL! Glad you saved it! Margie
Who would have indeed
Thanks for dropping by Margie!
Hi,
I didn’t realize that they did up the Eiffel Tower for special occasions, it really is magnificent.
Shall post – slightly – better pics soon Mags
Ahhh, the ‘softer’ side of Paris. Nice!
Rather too soft I thought! I was wrong apparently
Thank you for your kind comment!
I see you found a couple!
Eiffel Tower is beautiful lit up the way it is.
I had obviously not cleaned out the Paris set all that well
Looks a LOT better when focused!
The Tower is beautiful!
It is for sure! Thank you Imelda!
Despite being ‘unfocused’ I still love it
Glad you do Tacts! Thank you for the visit and comment!
Very nice!
Thank you

Madhu, that photo of the eiffel Tower could have been painted by one of the Impressionists. The colors are gorgeous, and hardly seem real. Its being slightly out of focus adds to the effect and softens it to look like a painter’s touch. Really lovely.
Naomi, now you are making me blush! I can assure you these effects were not intentional. I shall pretend they were though
Thank you for the sweet comments!
You have a great talent as a photographer, awesome
Happy weekend
Thank you so much! You guys are making me believe I might not be too bad after all
Great shots, like your version of ‘Tour Eiffel’…
Thank you! Glad you do
Ahh like the first one
Thank you Britten!
I love these shots… shows the lights on the Eiffel Tower nicely.
Happy you do Eliz
Have a great weekend!
Wow! Being unfocused gave the photo’s that extra quality Madhu! Great entry.
*hugs*
Thanks Sonel! Happy that you like them!
I love the Eiffel Tower shot. Some subjects come through perfectly, being unfocused and possibly a little shaken. The “flaws” adds a lot of atmosphere.
I agree! But makes me nauseous looking at it
Not me Madhu. It makes me feel like I’m in Paris, drinking red wine and having a good time in front of the good ole Eiffel
Ok, you know my love for Paris Madhu and to see the Tour Eiffel in blue is amazing!!! Love the picture!!
You are most welcome
Paris is my all time favourite city as well. (Haven’t been to NYC as yet)
I like the blue! I’ve never seen it lit up in that color. Yes, I also have trouble with night shots, but these are cool!
Thank you Fergiemoto! You are too kind!
The magic of Paris + French chic = a blue Eiffel Tower. Sparkling, static or unfocused, hard to beat.
Thank you! Focused, is even better
Sure – but these tell a story, and that was the challenge:)
I never tire of pictures of the Eiffel, and your versions in blue are glorious!
elisa
Thank you Elisa

Had no idea! Thanks for those links to Eiffel trivia!
The beautiful City of Lights is still as gorgeous and elegant as ever, even if unfocused!
Glad you think so
Love the Eiffel Tower… so beautiful. Someday, maybe, I will get to see it.
Hope you do
And welcome to my blog!
funny to have this blue pin unfocused
Only I could do that
I like the first one the most.
An blue and unfocused Eiffel Tower, what’s not to like? Beautiful!
