next year when we go back to Kerala, I think we may go up to this lovely place! Thank you for the tip dear Madhu… have a lovely weekend!
My favorite was the last one, but the first one was something I found strangely intuitive as well. Like, why didn’t I think of that before. Haha! Good response to the challenge, mate.
Each one really good growth shots – when standing in the middle of it – it’s not always that one notice it immediately.- but then suddenly one realize the fact…
Have a great weekend…
What a wonderful view, Madhu! Soothing indeed! Have a beautifully soothing weekend too!
[idiot question: how do you get animated smilies?]
Thanks Marina, and not idiot at all!
When in doubt ask uncle Google!
Google ‘wordpress smiley codes’ and voila
I can see
The way a city evolves is fascinating and hindsight is a wonderful thing, who has the answers?
Oh how I would love to have a mango tree!
Urban history and development is such a fascinating subject and you’ve done a beautiful job on this one.

Your thinking on this subject gives us a lot to ponder. And your photographs illustrate it so well. Well done.

Lovely photos. It’s good to have a sanctuary, isn’t it?
Overgrowth is overgrowth, but the mangoes are much prettier than cars and motorbikes. Your photographs are always excellent of course.
Those mangos aren’t far off, Madhu – not long to wait for your next fix:)
in the first photo is it marina beach?
Hey Madhu! Great photos! I thought of cities as well, but couldn’t figure out how to portray that in a photo–nice job! The mango tree, wow! How lucky! Love mangos, everything about them! Great post, thanks for sharing! I’ve never actually seen a mango tree…
Great post!
I used to have 12 mango trees Madhu – how I miss then
Tempting fruit.
Your pictures are so right, Madhu: some growth is important, some may be destroying. We need more nature, not less. And yes, very tempting fruit…
Mangoes and coconuts – how can a Mangalorean or a Keralite live without them? Love all the pictures.
oh yes, those green mangos make me hungry for a green-mango salad! z
Great aerial photograph of the city.
Wonderful photos, Madhu. Those mangoes are going to be great.

DJ-
I’ve always wanted a mango tree. You’ve reminded me of that. I am going to find one at my local nursery. MMmmm … and … coconuts. I drink coconut juice often.
Your photos fit the challenge so well. It is sad when Growth takes over and nature is left behind. A good reminder to appreciate our environment and take care of it.
Well done, Mandu. ~~~ : – )
I love this contrast! Especially the soothing peaceful green side —
Wow, that IS growth!!
