“One’s mind finds no peace,
neither enjoys pleasure or delight,
nor goes to sleep,
nor feels secure
while the dart of hatred is stuck in the heart”

Gorgoeus Madhu!
Glad you liked it Lynne
Very beautiful.
Thank you Stephen
The blossoms look exactly like yucca blossoms! This reminds me of an offering of peace. Sorely needed now.
Do they? These are jasmine blossoms tied with string. i usually sprinkle loose blossoms around that scented candle, but didn’t have any yesterday. Thank you for dropping by dear George
Love the simplicity of this.

Thank you Rahul.
Beautiful and serene – it has been ages since I’ve seen fresh mallipoo.
Thank you Shaantz.
I fill loose mallipoo in little bowls and their fragarnce fills the house when they open! Reminds me of home to some extent.
Surprised you don’t get it in the US, considering you get everything from cocum to Kaju Katli
That is one thing I definitely don’t see in this part of the US. Kaju katli and cocum, yes, which is good and bad because kaju katli is one of my favorite sweets, and so it is easy to keep nibbling when I have some around the house.
Nice composition! very peaceful!
Thanks Deepa! Struggled with it till late last night
simply beautiful!
Thank you Dadirri
Serenity now. Beautiful photo, Madhu.

Love your header too! Great post, Madhu!
Much appreciated, coming from you Judy
Thank you so much!
Oh Madhu, how perfectly lovely, I feel a sense of peace washing over me as I look at this photo. xxx Ailsa
Thank you Ailsa. I always associate ‘peace’ with the Buddha
Only when we forgive and get rid of ourselves of anger , bitterness and hatred do we find peace. I had a personal experience that made me experience all these. It was a painful moment but the best way to ease the pain is just to let go and seek what is good.
Happy for you that you were able to let go IT! Holding on to anger and bitterness can be very corrosive.
Such a moving photo, so peaceful. Great post Madhu!
Thank you LuAnn
What a terrific quote…I might have to take some shots of my Buddha Madhu…you’ve inspired me.
The quote is by the Buddha of course.
Have no doubt your photos will be gorgeous Jo
Ummm – and double jasmine, i can smell it from here … Still life for peace, beautiful.
Gundu malli it is called in Tamil, meaning ‘fat Jasmine’ and I love how it fills the air with its fragrance! Glad you liked my still life
I’ll have to write that down, to remember it – except for malli – mal is flower in Sinhala
So this is by Buddha
. Powerful stuff!!! You are not just a snapper, you know that by now, right?
No I don’t Paula! You really think??
You do know
You are a smart cookie!
I honestly don’t. I have spent a bit more time on this than my other travel shots, but just a bit more
This brings serenity, thank you, Madhu..
