“Dog, I Shall Drink Your Blood!” – Hauz Khas Kitsch!

No, I haven’t turned into a canine hunting vampire overnight!

The title is the literal translation of a quintessential Bollywood quote from a 1973 Hindi flick, that has become synonymous with its aging, macho, once dashing, still endearing star. ‘Dog’ in this instance refers to the vile villain, who is about to have the %#&* beaten out of him, in true Bollywood ‘dishum dishum’ style :-)

You have to agree that this is a brilliant illustration.

T shirt in Hauz Khas

It took all my persuasive powers to keep R from buying that T shirt.

Here is more kitsch from Hauz Khas, a chic bohemian ‘village’ in South Delhi, that is sadly, fast degenerating into an overcrowded suburb. Shall reserve photos of the beautiful archaeological complex and the reservoir that it derives its name from, for another day.

Wishing you all much joy, for Christmas and the coming year!
