Noh (opera) Stage: This is the only Noh stage in Japan which stands in the sea. The floor functions quite like the skin on a large drum, so with every marked and measured footstep, the sound reverberates clearly. The sound tone is supposed to change dramatically with the ebb and flow of the tide!
