Don’t Forget To Look Up!

This is my first time participating in the Wild Weekly Photo Challenge, thanks to Lisa of Zebra Designs & Destinations, whose winning entries have been nothing short of inspiring.

The theme for this week is ‘Look Up‘. Trawling through my archives yielded plenty of photos ‘looking up’ at soaring architecture, but precious few of the outdoors, which I understand is the requirement of this challenge.

Here is what I came up with for my last minute entry.

Kapok tree, Ta Phrom

Far away there in the sunshine
are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them but I can look up
and see their beauty, believe in them
and try to follow them.”
~ Louisa May Alcott

Remember to look up at the stars
and not down at your feet.
Try to make sense of what you see and
wonder about what makes the universe exist.
Be curious. And however difficult life may seem,
there is always something you can do
and succeed at. It matters that you
don’t give up
~ Stephen Hawking

Plane above lighthouse

Man cannot aspire if he looked down;
if he (must) rise, he must look up.”
~ Samuel Smiles

“Failure is a bottomless pit
ready to devour you.
If you always look up
and never look down,
failure is void.”
~ Folashade Ayanwale

Until next time……..happy travels, no matter where life takes you 🙂
