I like steel and glass by itself George. But not intermingled with beautiful old structures. Cannot comprehend why the glitzy new buildings cannot remain in the fancy new part of town, beyond the Arch de Triomphe?
What a marvelous building facade. You know, the one thing that bothers me about old European cities is the close proximity of the buildings. The photographs are beautiful, but when I think of living in such congested places, I think I would not like it. But… How I wish we had not abandoned art in architecture… Perhaps, I am only old and unappreciative of steel and glass.
