Comments Policy

We value your feedback and appreciate your taking the time to read my posts and let me know what you think. Offensive/insensitive language will be filtered out and The Urge To Wander reserves the right to edit or delete any comments submitted to this blog without notice. The Urge To Wander is also not liable for any comments made by others on the blog.

The majority of content featured on The Urge To Wander are based on my personal travel experiences booked and paid for by myself. The occasional discounted/sponsored stay or trip with a tourist board or travel brand is always clearly and prominently disclosed. I take pains to ensure I work with brands that are the right fit for my audience profile and only endorse those brands and services that I have personally used and can vouch for. I value my readers’ trust most of all and promise integrity in all things I write and share.

Our Mailing List Subscribers

Any information stored on our mailing list is solely kept for the distribution of posts, newsletters and online magazines by The Urge To Wander. We do not share personal information with third-parties. Neither will I spam you with unsolicited mail.

    • If you subscribed to our newsletter, you will receive our newsletters. You can always unsubscribe by following the link in email or by emailing us.
    • If you gave us your name, it will only be used to personalise the newsletters.
    • We have never sold, we are not selling, and we will not sell any of your personal data provided to us.
    • All of our affiliates are GDPR compliant.

Similarly, we do not resell or share your contact information with third parties and once you opt out of the mailing list, you are permanently removed.

The Website utilizes the Facebook commenting system, so if you choose to comment on a Website post, your profile picture will appear.

Google Analytics – this service tracks Website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the Website. Google Analytics may capture your IP address, but no other personal information is captured by Google Analytics.  We have anonymised our Google Analytics data and never look at non-aggregated data.

MailChimp – this service is used for delivery of email updates and newsletters. We store your name and email address for purposes of delivering such communications that you have opted-in to receive.  Please refer to Mail Chimp’s privacy policy for further information.

WordPress.Com – this service is responsible for hosting and operating the website platform The Urge To Wander uses.

At this time, your personal information is not shared with any other third-party applications. This list may be amended from time to time in the Website’s sole discretion.

Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Website, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.
