They looked picture perfect. Two beautiful people framed between two pillars of the cathedral of Santa Maria Dell’ Assunta in Torcello. I considered showing them these photos. But I held back, reluctant to intrude into that beautiful space between them, that radiated a delightful sense of ease. And togetherness.
More from Torcello in a few days. Meanwhile, have a great weekend.
So important… the space between and beautifully shown, my dear Madhu! 🙂
Thank you Marina. Have a great weekend 🙂
You too!!! 🙂
Picture perfect Madhu! Have a beautiful weekend!
Thank you Wendell. To you too 🙂
Beautifully composed, Madhu!
They were perfectly positioned for the shot Sue! Didn’t have to do much more than aim and shoot! 🙂
Well, maybe, but you recognised the moment…. 🙂
That I did! 🙂
Well done. Nice take on the challenge.
Thank you LHN!
Beautiful – and it’s so true, the sacred space between us is sacred ❤
It sure is Anne. Somehow the light enhanced that feeling.
Really appropriately chosen. Lovely setting, too.
Thank you Col. Much appreciated.
Nice photo of lovely atmosphere. Have a good weekend, Madhu.
Thanks Bente. A great week ahead to you 🙂
Ahh the second is especially lovely, I’m sure they would love them but I understand why you didn’t show them. I often wonder about people in my photos that I don’t know.
Me too Gilly. Still undecided about the ethics of it all.
Glad you did not disturb..
Lovely pic though. .
Yeah, so am I! Thanks Bikramjit.
Absolutely gorgeous, Madhu! Oh to be young and in ….Torcello 🙂
🙂 Oh to be young again, period!!
I was going to put ‘love’ 🙂
Beautiful Madhu…I wondered what you would come up with and it is perfect. I think you were right not to come between them and their moment together
I felt it wouldn’t be right. Thank you Jo. Catch up with you soon.
You are right Madhu, they do look comfortable together.
Don’t they just? 🙂
A beautiful shot Madhu, the light gives them such a touching radiance.
Thanks Patti. I half expected to end up with a dark silhouette, but the sun was at just the right spot.
That is a beautiful shot of a beautiful moment. Perfect for the challenge, too.
Thanks Imelda. It is one of my favourite shots from this trip.
kewl one 🙂
Many thanks Mike!
Beautiful captured especially the first picture.
Thank you Erwin. They made a pretty picture! 🙂
beautiful shots!
Thanks Amit.
Togetherness at it’s best. Apart but together. Characterized by the timeless pillars as if passing the same message to the young couple. Amazing pic it looks to be communicating the story on it’s own.
‘dod’ Rangers
I thought that too, would have loved to know more about their story 🙂 Thank you for stopping by.
Beautiful beyond words. This could be anywhere in the world. Many thanks Madhu. and regards!
Thank you Dilip.
Between to people… there is only light! Serenity :-)c
You are so right Claudine. And it is the light in this image that makes the difference. Thank you 🙂
lovely click….it has a harmonious feel…..a picture you want to go back to
Thank you Namita. I was happy with the way it turned out.
Tender and lovely.
I felt it, sitting seated behind them on that loggia Marion.
Lovely photo, Madhu. It’s a perfect fit for the challenge.
Thank you Judy. There are a lot many ‘betweens’ in there 🙂
Beautifully framed. I may be looking too much into how their shadows are joined together, as are the pillars.
Thank you Umashankar. The shadows and pillars do enhance the shot considerably.
I second Marion’s choices here!
These are tender and lovely indeed, Mahdu.
Thank you Riba.
What a beautiful shot, Madhu, have a lovely weekend!
Thank you Lauren.
That is a classic two photos and you certainly caught the mood of place and people.
Thanks Ian. This shot to me, matches the mood of the tranquil island.
Good thing you didn’t disturb them. The second looks great!
Thanks Rommel 🙂
I always feel that you are saying to the subjects in your people pictures “tell me your story”!
Thank you for the lovely compliment Dallas! I really would have loved to know theirs 🙂
There is space between… and yet it is that space which brings them close… lovely shots!
I agree. Any closer would have ruined the mood! 🙂
You do the best ‘special’ captures. I love this one, it does capture both a between and a together.
Thank you Valentine. You write the nicest comments 🙂
just one word for your post: magnifique! 🙂
Ah, Melanie…..Merci beaucoup!!! 🙂
2 thumbs up Madhu – oh wow – and the space of the white sky just allows us to feel the couple and the architecture more – and there shadows add to the friendship feel – and also really love the two different shots – it added more.
Thank you very much Yvette! I am overwhelmed by all the kind words 🙂
As always….u catch the essence……….. :))
Thank you dear Harini. All set?
Beautiful, Madhu! So much revealed without any words, just presence…
Yes, that didn’t really need any description! Thanks Ese.
Beautiful pics! 🙂 So much emotion there!
I am happy the emotions came across much as i perceived them! Thanks Rondita. Happy to meet you 🙂
The photo and your words reminds me of Kahlil Gibran’s “On Marriage” from The Prophet.
I love that poem and considered pairing tit with this image Kat!
Great take on this – as always!
Thanks Ann Christine.
Yep, all about seeing the moment Madhu! Good eye!!
Thanks Tina. They were kind of unmissable.
the picture apwaks volumes. generally a picture shows only. great moment captured. relaxed, with the knowledge of togetherness.
Thank you Shakil. Some moments beg to be captured! 🙂
Space for the electricity of attraction …
I sensed more of an effortless connection Meredith. A kind of ‘comfort chemistry’ 🙂
Madhu, just lovely *smile
It was a lovely scene and setting Viveka. I didn’t have to do much 🙂
Perfection … to look at them tells a story. I wonder what their conversation was about.
Regardless, they seemed to have been waiting for you to capture them. ~~~~ : – )
Appreciate your spending all this time with me Isadora. Thank you very much 🙂
A lovely moment you’ve captured, Madhu!
I stumbled on your blog after “wandering” through many others and I must say, I’m in love with the way you tell stories! This post about the space between was absolutely perfect.
