Japan is a green country, especially in spring (although it’s also pink then) and in summer, still somewhat in fall although it’s really red then, and sometimes in winter. And beautiful in every season and every color.
Your gallery made me so homesick! even though Japan is not my actual home. In another life, it must have been. I am hoarding your posts on Japan to enjoy little by little.

I’ve been through a lot of it. Mostly in Kyushu and Tokyo areas. I’d love to see more though. Beautiful country, although a bit expensive. I live in Korea though, so at least it’s close by.
That is a huge saving in airfare alone 🙂

I’m actually sitting in the Tokyo airport as I write this. Unfortunately, I won’t get to see what’s beyond it’s walls and windows, but I’m happy enough to be eating sushi in Japan, if only for an hour.
I’ll be back.
What a pity! But Sushi in Japan is a good thing, as long that is not all that you get to eat for days 😀 I KNOW you’lll be back!
Beautiful green, Madhu! Love the landscape and temple. Speaking of food, I heard that Japanese people love Ding Tai Fung. When they travel to Taiwan, that’s where they eat. 🙂

Considering I had a much better camera, I expected a distinct improvement in quality from my earlier images that i don’t perceive. I obviously haven’t figured out all that the camera has to offer!

Japan works very well for this challenge, Madhu. It’s the clean, simple design of temples and gardens, the way food is presented, and so on.
But it sometimes surprises me that the Japanese have a very kitsch side to their taste too – Hello Kitty, for starters.
Me too 🙂 That Kitsch is such a contrast to the Zen mystique commonly associated with Japan. It seems restricted to urban Japan though. Unless the traditional Japan we perceived is just reserved for tourists!

I have never before had a problem with food anywhere, But Japan was hard! The strange flavours just got too much after a while 🙂
