To me, Venice is in itself a work of art.
Today, I showcase some delightful window displays from the magical city…from chocolate art to carnivale masks. All but the first, shot through glass. Hope you like them as much I did discovering them.

Happy travels…no matter where life takes you.
Such fun you had in Venice, Madhu! The second shot is exquisite. Lighted windows and the mystery of it all. I love it 🙂
I love that one too Jo, especially for its aura of mystery. Wish I could make the price tag across her nose go away though 🙂
I love the masks and hope one day to see this grand city for myself. 🙂
Thank you Luann.
Love them all for the challenge, the mask is gorgeous.
Thank you Mary. I would love to see that interpreted on canvas by you! 🙂
Thanks Madu!
I LOVE masks! They provide emotional shelter and encourage spontaneity !
I love the romance and mystery they evoke, but I find them sinister somehow Kathryn! 🙂
Some masks are intentionally sinister I agree but many more are fun! I always think about posting a challenge requesting people in masks! I think I only have one personally!
I don’t own any other than that bronze Bhuta mask!! 😀
It’s a beauty !
Fascinating works of art. And I agree with you, the city is itself one. I came across this video shared by a fellow-blogger, which made me appreciate the science and hard work behind this work of art. Check it out- http://shootingveniceandberlin.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/32/#comment-299
Thanks Kan. And what a co-incidence that you should mention that site! Bruno connected with me after reading my “Moving in Venice’ post!!! Wish I had known him before I went 😦
Did you treat yourself to some of these chocolates? The shuttered shop window is my favourite photo here.
No, it was closedand I never ventured back there again. The shuttered window is my favourite too Paula.
