Paris – Métro Station Cité

Cité, the only metro station on the Île de la Cité – the island where Paris began – is better known for its original, Hector Guimard designed, sinuous green cast-iron entrance (above). But its interior is no less appealing.Cité Station - ParisUntil next time…..happy travels no matter where life takes you.

    1. Credit to hubby for spotting this photo op! I was intent on getting my sore feet up the two flights of stairs. Good thing we discovered the automatic elevator, right beside the staircase, after we had reached the top! 🙂

    1. Me too. I was telling hubby the other day, that maybe one more visit will get Paris out of my system 🙂 Thank you and a great weekend to you too.

  1. Incredible point of view. More of this world needs illumination in lamplight, if you ask me. I’d have never seen this place if not for you.

    1. We wouldn’t have noticed the lights, if we hadn’t taken the stairs Gilly. Easy to miss them from the platform level, especially if you have your nose buried in a map 🙂

  2. I LOVE this photo! I am kicking myself because I’ve walked past this station SO many times and never entered it! This looks beautiful and you captured it perfectly. Super job here.

  3. Stunning shot Madhu! It’s really beautiful there. Thanks for sharing hon. 😀 *hugs*
