My Angkor posts are long overdue.
While I struggle to finish my draft between house guests and trips to Bangalore, here is a scene that was the realisation of a longstanding dream.

As breathtaking and unforgettable as we had imagined, despite the partly cloudy sky and the scaffolding in the center.
Until next time…..happy travels, no matter where life takes you.
Stunning Madhu – happy travels indeed 🙂
Awesome pic
The colors of the sky are unforgettable. Beautiful.
Breathtaking!
Breathtaking is right Madhu! WOWzers! What scaffold? Margie
Magnificent!
Beautiful Post Madhu great interpretation for this week topic,
Thanks for sharing my friend 🙂
I thought all the Angkor temples were unforgettable too, but I never got a picture even remotely as beautiful as this. Great shot, Madhu!
A breathtaking view.
Breathtaking, Madhu!
Beautiful
I can’t wait to read more! I loved Angkor — such a magical place. Beautiful image — love the tree on the left reflected in the water.
What an amazing sky, Madhu, and the reflection is brilliant. 🙂
What a picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unforgettable, and a reflection of beauty.
Ow, I know this one. A friend of mine posted a picture, he doesn’t travel a lot but he has a very awesome picture of this one. I love the reflection on yours.
Beautiful!
Great shot! We were there last year in March, 2012 but was not fortunate enough to have a beautiful sunrise. In fact, the much anticipated gorgeous view of Angkor Wat on sunrise never happened, The morning turned out cloudy, overcast. Your photo made up for what we missed.
Unreal!
Angkor Wat is one of the places I have always wanted to go to. I remember reading about it when I was a child in a Readers Digest book.
Madhu I think the clouds make the photo and I didn’t even see teh scaffolding until I zoomed in, its stunning and truly memorable.
Stunning photo!!

Beautiful!
Staggeringly beautiful with a touch of the mystical thrown in! Can totally understand why its your “unforgettable”!
Wow Madhu! This picture is beyond words!!!! Sensational!!!!
Beautiful. You had a nicer sunrise than I had when I was there. But what a place. The people pictures! Scaffolding I think is a constant at Angkor.
Stunning reflection ..:)
Stunning and mystic really.
It is stunningly beautiful. 😉
Not one I could forget either, Madhu. Glorious!
I may be commenting twice, because I thought I’d already entered one, Madhu? It bears repeating anyway- unforgettable!
Stunning! Happy travels to you, also!
This would be hard to forget 😀
Serenity in a photo…sunrise at Angkor Wat. The reflection in the water is quite beautiful Madhu. 🙂
A sunrise we all wish to witness and see everyday. Stunning!
Lovely sunrise. A visit to Angkor Wat has been on my wish list for quite some time now and your picture certainly piques my interest for a visit soon.
I’ve never been to Angkor Wat although it’s only a few hours from here. I probably won’t be going to Cambodia soon, for certain reasons, so it’ll be great to read your account of your visit, Madhu. 🙂
What a stunning scene! I can’t wait to hear how your travels have gone, Madhu. All the best with those drafts.
Hello – I’ve just nominated you for The Liebster Blog award – I hope you are able to accept but no pressure if ‘it’s not your kind of thing’ 🙂 http://the-travelbunny.com/awards/
Oh, Madhu, what a magnificent shot! The majesty, the mystery of that temple amplified by its reflection and the sunrise … Do you think this is just what its’ architect envisioned when he designed it just so? I do. And what a thrilling and unforgettable sight it is for us all – especially us, from another civilization.
Gorgeous! I want to travel sometime in my life time. I hope to see things like this. It will truly make life more livable!
A magic photo, Madhu!
Speeechless … all said prior to my visiting. Spectacular….!!!!
